This is the layout of the quilt
First completed shoe. I am placing each pink fabric on top of dark brown so that they pop a little. This is just pressed and not sewn yet. You can see the tabs a little so I will need to work on that to make sure they are clean and crisp on the quilt.
Mistake!!
I fussed the web onto the wrong side of the fabric and had to re-do about 8 shoes. I had to start all over on them, but they are finished now and ready to sew onto a block.

Hand Quilting Rack
This is the Quilt rack that Mike built. It fits behind the couch up in the game room. I can work while the family sits on the couch and watches TV.
Hand Stitches
These show some of the stitches and one of the issues I’m having. As you can see in one picture, the batting seems to be coming up through the material with each stitch. I’m not sure how to prevent this. The batting is 100% natural organic cotton batting. I think this is why you should wax your thread but I’m not sure. (Check out the hand stiched stars...)
