Dallas Quilt Show

3/14/2010

On saturday me, my sister and my daughter went to the Dallas Quilt show. I took a lot of pictures but had too many favorites to post them all. I've posted just a few that I was amazed at the details and artistic ability of the people who made them. I can’t wait to go to another show. We spent several hours and there and didn't even cover half of the building.

I finished all of the shoe blocks when I got back from the show. I cut out all of the purses and will put them together next Saturday. This quilt is going a lot faster than the last one.

Hi there
I have just come across your site and think its a neat idea to motivate yourself this way. I know what you mean by getting caught up in the modern day present buying frenzy and think its a great you are focussing on these gifts and also including your children in the process. Good luck with your goals; I will check back to see if you are still on track!!

    Update

Sunday after church, a Mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about. The daughter answered, “Don't be scared, you'll get your quilt.” Needless to say, the Mom was perplexed.
Later in the day, the pastor stopped by for tea and the Mom asked him what that morning's Sunday school lesson was about. He said,
'Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming.'
