This weekend was easy. I only worked about 4 hours completing the piecing of the quilt top and about an hour helping my nephew Mike build the stand for hand quilting. Tomorrow I have to take care of my daughter’s car but then I will paint the quilt stand so I can set it up on Tuesday to start the quilting process. I’m really happy with the way the quilt top turned out and I think my daughter will be very happy with it. I’m very excited about starting the next one. I now know why quilters say that they have a million quilts in their heads and not enough time to get them all out. I would love to have the stand to machine quilt with but I don’t have enough room for it. As soon as the next daughter moves out I’m turning her room into a craft room with a large machine quilting rack. Maybe I could move all the girls into one room now and have two rooms for my crafts! Wow that’s a thought!
