Rip, Rip, Rip

I decided to rip out the seams of the blocks going the wrong direction. I couldn’t stop thinking that I would regret not doing it after I finished. It wasn’t that big of a deal and now I’m ready to put them back together the right way. I know I’ll be happy latter that I did it. The trick with the star pattern is every finished square has to have the same color in the bottom corner. As long as they are all the same it looks like a star burst. You can change the pattern and make every-other one different and then the finished two blocks together will create a diamond in the middle.

I plan on having the front pieced together this weekend. My nephew is building me a quilt frame Saturday (I will post pictures) and I should be able to start quilting next week. I took next week off to catch up on some things around the house and I should be able to get quite a bit done on the quilt too.

I will update you on Sunday with pictures of the new rack and my progress on quilt #1.

    Update

Sunday after church, a Mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about. The daughter answered, “Don't be scared, you'll get your quilt.” Needless to say, the Mom was perplexed.
Later in the day, the pastor stopped by for tea and the Mom asked him what that morning's Sunday school lesson was about. He said,
'Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming.'
